Since the 15th of February, 2015 the memorial museum of Isaak Brodsky has been hosting an exhibition “Embroidery: tradition and modernity”. The exhibition shows results of a seven-year work from the art center “Nevsky mosaics” and, in particular, from a technology and design course. The course hosts people of different ages and professions; what unites them is their great passion for art and creativity. Every person attending this course could learn the ropes of such needle works as embroidery, sewing, knitting and painting.
The exhibition displays not only accomplished fine works by the designers of the art center but also students’ art pieces created under teachers’ supervision. Among the supervisors who contributed to the exhibition there are Valentik Svetlana (artistic embroidery), Rodina Galina (machine embroidery), Lapina Yulia (braiding bobbin), Sorokina Natalia (embroidery in gold).
The exhibition will be open until the 1st of March, 2015 in the halls of the Isaak Brodsky memorial museum.
