The exhibition “Bestiary and herbarium in space and time” will take place in the halls of the memorial museum of Isaak Brodsky from the 13th till the 24th of May, 2015. The highlights of the exhibition are art works created by Irina Kasperskaya.
This is how the curator of the project, Maria Sheinna, describes the oeuvre of the artist: “Precious stones are being scattered without proper grinding. Works by Irina Kasperskaya are iridescent like silk and velvet are, like dusty air under the southern sun is. There are reflections of gold hidden in her works, a hint of a captured moment when the light turns into a shadow. Mysterious reflections hidden in everyday things give birth to a mystery of a newly created space and time: a new world. This, almost magical attitude to depicted things, the artist sees in everyday simple objects such as a cat, walls, trees, sea foam, a tea pot or a bear…”
