From the 26, July the memorial museum of P. Chistyakov has been hosting a solo exhibition featuring works by Vladimir Kovtun.
Vladimir Kovtun is a renowned physician, artist and writer of Russia. He was born in 1948 in Armenia in a family of a military man. Later Vladimir graduated from the department of physics of the Armenian State University in Tbilisi.
However, bright colors and painting has always been his passion; since childhood he used to participate in different exhibitions, presenting his watercolors. As the years went by, painting skills of his grew and eventually his own artistic approach was discovered. Mainly his works feature subjects from the ancient world: from classical antiquity to the early Russian history. While featuring the past, the artist’s works represent a holistic attitude and embracing love towards the world, its beauty, people and nature.
The exhibition is open until the 30 of August, 2015, in the halls of the memorial museum of Pavel Chistyakov. |
