From the 18th of November, 2015, the memorial museum of Pavel Chistyakov is hosting an exhibition featuring works by a Petersburg female artist Elena Eryomina. The exhibition displays elaborate, elegant watercolors. The watercolor technique is considered to be one of the most difficult, yet it allows an artist to convey the most delicate changes of color tones and the lighting. Watercolors thus seem to have those rather romantic and lyrical impressions that capture the viewer’s attention the most. Apart from the watercolors there are batik works displayed as well. Batik is an umbrella term for the special techniques of painting on textile. This exhibition shows a number of lanterns created by Elena Eryomina using, among others, the technique of batik.
The exhibition is open until the 20th of December, 2015, in the halls of the memorial museum of Pavel Chistyakov.
