Since the 27th of December, 2015, the memorial museum of Pavel Chistyakov has been hosting an exhibition of paintings and graphic works by Olga Vinogradova.
Olga was born in 1984 in Leningrad. In 2012 she graduated from the graphic department of the St. Petersburg College of Art and Industrial Design. The artist works at the Art School for children named after I.P. Sautov, in Pushkin, where she is constantly inspired by her little pupils.
The exhibition demonstrates works from the last four years of Olga’s oeuvre. They feature the search of one’s place in the world thought art. As a graduate of a graphic department Olga likes to work in such techniques as linocut, watercolor, and crayon. The works by the artist are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
‘As I see it, this world needs every single man as he is. No need to copy great masters; you ought to be just honest and open. As for creativity, it is always a boldness with bare wires’ says the artist.
The exhibition is open until the 31st of January, 2016.
