On the 7th of December at 4 p.m. the Grand opening of the exhibition “Oeuvre of Vladimir Yantarev” will take place in the Museum of Isaak Brodsky. Vladimir Nikolayevich Yantarev was born in 1940 in Leningrad. The artist graduated from the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. From 1966 Vladimir Yantarev participated in different exhibitions organized in Russia and abroad. In 1975 he became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. During the years of his membership he created a lot of monumental works: mosaics, ceramic panels and stained glass windows. For theseworks Vladimir Yantarev was awarded a several times. The artist created a number of portraits for the gallery of the Council of the Federation and exhibited in the halls of the Federal Assembly in Moscow. Commissioned by the Russian Orthodox Church Vladimir Yantarev created a series of paintings, iconsmurals. He is also the author of the iconostasis of the Kazan Church in the town of Chudovo. The works of Vladimir Yantarev are part ofdifferent collections in Russia and abroad. Nowadays the artist creates new works (portraits, landscapes and still lifes) depicting the complications and joy of reality.
