The upcoming exhibition will take place in December 2012 in the halls of the Art Academy Museum. The highlights of the exposition are works made by the students of the Ilya Repin Institute and works of the students of the Ioganson Art Lyceum. Summer art practice is an important part of the education system in the Repin Institute. It allows students to apply their professional skills in a new situation and to watch directly from nature how the perception of colours and space differs thanks to the changing atmosphere. These exhibited paintings, drawings, sketches show us one’s first reflections about nature and thus there are so many genres and manners displayed. Remarkable that we also see the first steps of the young artists, their forming views on life and creativity. Pushkinskie hills, Crimea, Lake Onega are traditional places for the summer art practice. The practice of copying old masters manners is a very important part of the education system especially for the students of Painting and Restoration departments. As usual it takes place in the RussianMuseum and the State Hermitage Museum. Students of the Theater Decoration department have their summer practice in the various theater studios where they have first professional experience. The Repin Institute studios of ceramics, mosaic and plaster casts become workshops for the students during the summer time. Students of the Architecture department make sketchers, watercolors and also topographical surveys of the buildings located in the historical centers in different cities. The exhibition displays more than 300 works of young artists. The serious goals and the high academic quality of works make the upcoming exhibition so interesting and spectacular.
