Vladimir Nilov. Graphic works.

Since the 22nd of August, Titian Hall of the Art Academy Museum has been hosting an exhibition featuring graphic works by Vladimir Nilov.
Vladimir Nilov can be recognized as one of the leading graphic artists of Russia. The main technique he uses is the classical etching technique. The profusion of shadings, texture and style together with the expressive images may easily captivate the viewers. The artist gets his inspiration from nature impressions. However, he does not mechanically copy nature as photographers usually do. Vladimir Nilov creates his own world, which is equally recognized by the viewer as the real one, but at the same time is the result of his personal artistic attitude. The oeuvre of Vladimir Nilov is many-sided. However, it will always be oriented around the wealth national cultural wealth. His works represent an important “milestone” in the history of graphic art in Soviet Russia and later.
The exhibition is open until the 22nd of September, 2013
Working hours: 11.00 – 19.00
