“Involvement”, an exhibition organized in the bounds of the international art project “Palette of accords”.
On the 19th of October, 2013 the museum-manor of Pavel Chistyakov will host an opening of the exhibition of graphic and painting works: “Involvement or implication”. The exhibition features famous art pieces by Timur Novikov, Valentin Afanasiev, Vladislav Afonichev, VIK, Sergey Sergeev, Nelli Gradova and others. These artists, known as protagonists of contemporary art, were on friendly terms with each other from youth age. (Further information and biographies of the artists are to be displayed at the exposition).
Small but nevertheless capacious exposition displays the 40-years period of the Russian art: from the 1970s until nowadays. The core idea of the exhibition “Involvement” is the idea of artist’s self-sacrificing and spiritual service to art. The exposition has rather retrospective and nostalgically patriarchal character which is consonant to autumn meditation.
The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the archimandrite Alipy (1914-1975), deputy of the Pskov-caves monastery. This exhibition is an attempt to combine spiritual and secular art of different authors and it is supposed to be the first exposition of its kind in a number of future ones.
The exhibition is open until the 17th of November, 2013
