On the 18th of May, 2014 in the boundaries of the festival “Night of Museums 2014” the Pavel Chistyakov’s memorial museum will host the opening of an exhibition “The joy of Being”. The exhibition will feature works by three artists: a painter Natalia Pevsner, a watercolor painter Roxana Asanova and an icon master Valentina Kiklevich. The artists have been united with friendship and joint attendance of the evening art classes at the Art Academy.
At times behind the turmoil and bustle we hardly notice the very main thing in life: happiness and joy of Being. We lack that feeling from our childhood when one can be happy just because he lives in this amazing world. Sometimes we forget how to enjoy the city we live in with its beautiful cityscapes and small ships riding river waves or how to enjoy a fairy tale told by our grandmother in which good always wins over evil. We would like to give you back this feeling of joy, peace and light which fade away as we grew older… Let us remember how to be grateful and joyful.
The artist graduated from the icon painting school “Transfiguration”. She mastered folk decorative arts, including gold embroidery as well. In her works Valentina follows Russian and Byzantine icon traditions.
The artist graduated from the drawing class of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin. She currently studies painting and drawing at the studio of S. M. Sorokin. Cityscapes can be defined as the main genre in which Natalia works. However, she pays special attention towards such skills as creating murals. While studying old master’s murals the artists is in search of her own creative methods.
Graduated evening art classes at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin, studio of Djadanov V. V. (watercolor methods) and Chinese painting courses.
The exhibition will be open until the 18th of June, 2014.
