Since the 6th of August, 2014 the Memorial museum of Isaak Brodsky has been hosting an exhibition featuring paintings by the artist Valery Shamray. The artist was born in 1947 and since childhood he has been keen on painting. Valery Shamray attended different art studios in Saint-Petersburg; he graduated from the institute of evening painting classes based at the Saint-Petersburg Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the name of Ilya Repin. In 1986 he took active part in the exhibition “To the glory of Leningrad’s land!” which was held in the central exhibition halls in Saint-Petersburg. In 2012 he had a solo exhibition organized by one of the branches of the Art Academy Museum: the Memorial Museum of Pavel Chistyakov in Pushkin.
The exhibition displays works by the artist from different periods of his artist developments.
The exhibition will be open until the 17th of August, 2014 in the halls of the Memorial museum of Isaak Brodsky.
