On the 22nd of October, 2014 the memorial museum of Isaak Brodsky will host an opening of the exhibition featuring works by Vladimir Ershov.
The artist was born in Leningrad in 1964. He was a student of the Art Academy College and later, since 1987, he studied in the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Repin, studios of Boris Ugarov and Victor Reichet.
Vladimir Ershov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia (since 1993) and a participant of many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works can be found in state and private collections.
Vladimir Ershov’s artistic personality was mainly formed under the Russian realistic painting school influence. However, preserving traditional approaches the artist tends to combine it with contemporary artistic trends. Landscapes, portraits and genre scenes seem to be the main art genres for the artist. As for artistic characteristics of his oeuvre Vladimir Ershov possesses unusually keen senses of colors, light and rhythm. The latter seems to refer to our modern life rhythm.
Displayed works by the artist are mostly paintings created under impressions from traveling to different places in Russia and abroad.
The exhibition will be open until the 26th of October, 2014
