On the 22nd of October, 2014 the Blue hall of the Art Academy Museum will host an exhibition “East – West”. The exhibition raises such issues as: how the East is seen by the artists of Western culture and how the West is perceived by the artists with an Eastern genetic origin. The exhibition, featuring works by the painter Daria Kollegova and the sculptor Rustam Igamberdiev, is a representation of two worlds.
Daria Kollegova graduated from the Painting faculty of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin where now she is one of the leading teachers. The artist is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. In 2014, for two months Daria Kollegova had been representing the Institute of Painting, Sculptor and Architecture in the province of Shandun in China.
Rustam Igamberdiev is a sculptor, and an art restorer at the Art Academy Research Museum. The artist graduated from the Sculpture faculty of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin. Rustam Igamberdiev is a member the Union of Artists of Russia. He is a participant of many exhibitions and a member of artistic internships in France, Italy and Luxemburg.
The exhibition will be open until the 9th of November, 2014
