On December 10, at 16:00, exhibition of the painting and graphic work of Eugenia Petrovna Antipova and Victor Kuzmich Teterin will be inaugurated in the Museum-Apartment of I. I. Brodsky.
The creative duet of E. P. Antipova and V. K. Teterin is the bright page in development of the national art of the second half of 20 century. Being the followers of A. A. Osmerkin in the Leningrad Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Institute named after I. E. Repin, they were keen of his creative method and retained in their activities a system of the art principles founded by their favorite tutor. The artists were actively involved in the artistic life of the City since the beginning of 50s, using the various genres, with their favorite ones being the landscape and still life. In 1972 Antipova and Teterin joined the exhibition of eleven Leningrad artists, which caused great resonance in the cultural life of our City – the Group of “Eleven” has become a symbol establishing the right of artists to be engaged in the arts. The activity of Antipova and Teterin is the shining example of disinterested and devoted surrender of self to the own talent and art. The art works of the artists are among the permanent exhibits of museums, being displayed in temporary biggest art exhibitions.
The exhibition will last until December 21.
